All See it SAFE gowns are permanently anti-microbial, antibacterial, fluid repellent, minimal-lint and washable.
The fabrics contain NO HARMFUL CHEMICALS, as certified by the OEKO-TEX 100 Standard.
The See it SAFE Breathe-Easy washable, antimicrobial and fluid repellent gown has highly fluid repellent (85cm) front and sleeves with highly breathable back panels (30cm).
This is an AAMI Level 3 gown, but with lightweight breathable spray resistant back panels. See image below.
AAMI Level 3 gowns provide an enhanced barrier of protection against dangerous liquid and workplace hazards.
N.B. Lint can be a major cause of airborne infection, and many cheaper disposable produce large amounts of lint which is unacceptable when treating open wounds.
See it SAFE fabric was developed to exceed the minimal lint requirements of European Standards in the early 2000’s when it was first produced. It continues to exceed worldwide standards for fluid repellency, minimal-lint, tear strength, thermal and wash stability, etc.
This means they can be used and washed at least 75 times and often up to 120 times before their fluid repellency reduces to a level below either the Australian Standard (30cm), AAMI Level 3 Standard (50cm) or the level you require for your particular use.
The antimicrobial efficacy of the fabric is barely effected by commercial laundering and has been tested to 280 cycles with negligible effect on its properties.
The gown has 2 ties at the back of the neck and 2 ties at the inside the right side seam at waist level, plus 2 ties at the outside left seam at waist level.
Lastly, our gowns are checked at each stage of manufacturing:
1. The fabric is tested before it leaves the weaving mill for fluid repellency, and exceeds all relevant world AS, ANZ, EN and ISO standards for its category of use AAMI level 3.
2. The fabric is inspected over light tables for flaws, and evenness before it leaves the weaving mill.
3. When laying up the fabric for cutting, any fabric faults are cut out.
4. The gown stitching and finishing is inspected at 3 stages during production to ensure only the highest quality product is sent to our customers.
